Right or left?

On my drive home today I saw a sign in front of this church that read: "Give God what's right, not left." For a minute, I pondered that & was like "what" lol... but as I drove, it hit me that this is what a lot of us do: we give God what we feel He should have rather than what's due Him. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 9:7 that God loves a cheerful giver! Of course when we hear/see this scripture, we immediately think of giving money or tangible things, but what about our time? God doesn't just want us to be cheerful when give our tithes and offerings; He wants us to be cheerful when we give whatever we have to give to Him!

When we fall on our knees in prayer or go to God with a request, we expect Him to answer us, most of the times, immediately! Well, the least we can do is give him what He deserves - our best. Why can't we go in prayer just to say thanks sometimes? Why can't we read a little more or devote a little more time just because we can? Do we have to watch TV first then pray just before bed or pray in the morning for a few minutes when we wake up? Why can't we give a little extra in our envelopes every now & then?

So the next time you think of which way you'll go, think of what God would want or WWJD! Will you give God what's RIGHT or what you have LEFT to give?

THIS IS SO TRUE. A LOT OF TIMES WE FILL WE HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER GOD, BUT WE DO. GIVING TITHES AND OFFERINGS IS EXPECTED OF US AS TITHING IS HARVEST FOR OUR BLESSINGS. BUT WHAT ABOUT OUR TIME. GOD IS HONORED AND GLORIFIED WHEN WE GIVE HIM MOMENTS OUT OF BUSY SCHEDULES, WHEN WE STOP TO SAY THANK YOU LORD FROM WHEREVER WE ARE. GIVING GOD IS MORE THAN A MONETARY THING. HE WANTS OUR EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS, OUR THOUGHTS. HE WANT US. BEING A CHEERFUL GIVER MEANS WE GIVE OUR WHOLE SELF TO GOD AS LIVING SACRIFICES TO WORSHIP AND PRAISE AND GIVE HIM GLORY.
