Project KIDS

Project KIDS was organized to help teach children the value of being kind & generous! Our goal is to provide to needy families as well as show them the love of God! We intend to be the light that sits on a hill that cannot be hid & in doing so, hope to reach out to as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Our current project is to support the Battered Women's Shelter! The shelter is in desperate need of funds, personal care items, plastic utensils, toilet paper, fans, etc. Without proper funding, the women & children who seek refuge in the shelter will go without the things they need to function on a daily basis. With only 21 rooms containing 60 beds & a 45 day maximum stay, these women & children are severely limited time & resources to try to get their lives in some kind of order, to find some sense of normality. We CAN help them!

If you'd like to know more & to find out how you can help, please click here to download a copy of our current newsletter. A donation list, provided by the shelter, is available for download (please click here). If you are unable to download the files, please email us & we'll be happy to send you a copy or you may pick one up at our church! Please come & be a part of something amazing! A Strong Foundation!

2 Timothy 2:15, 19 ~ 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 19 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”

We have to present our bodies as vessels of honor before God! Be diligent! be mindful! Build a foundation in the Word which leads to faith in God! We must have a true foundation, rooted in the Word so we can stand in the times of trouble! You must depart from sin to have a relationship with, and thus build a foundation strong in the things of God. If you are in sin, how can you have a relationship with Him? Get enough Word while you can so in case there comes a time when you are unable to pick up your bible & read/study, the scriptures you know can be applied to your life's situation. If you don't KNOW the Word, it does you no good!

1 Corinthians 3 ~ 1 Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings?  5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
